    What Stretch & Reset is

Stretch & Reset at Asana Physiotherapy in Maple Ridge is a guided mobility and recovery class. It is not a high-intensity workout, and it is not a private one-on-one assisted stretch appointment.

In class, your instructor leads restorative stretching and soft-tissue release work. Tools may include trigger balls for targeted pressure in tight spots, stretch bands to support range of motion and controlled lengthening, and guided stretching techniques so you move with better awareness and control.

The pace is calm and intentional. You leave with a clearer sense of where you hold tension and how to open those areas more effectively than rushing through solo stretches at home.

Stretch & Reset vs assisted stretching and other options

Assisted stretching is a private, hands-on session where a kinesiologist moves and stretches your body for you.

Stretch & Reset is a class format. You are guided through techniques and tool-based release work, with coaching and modifications as needed, alongside other participants.

Fascial stretch therapy is table-based assisted fascial stretching, usually one-on-one. Physiotherapy assesses and treats injury with a clinical plan. Reformer and strength programs focus more on loading, control, and progressive exercise.

Many people use Stretch & Reset as their mobility and recovery block alongside physio, kinesiology, or training. If you are unsure which fits first, ask.

What you work on in class

Each session is built around release, mobility, and smoother movement quality. You may work on tension from sitting, stress, training, or repetitive daily postures. Guided progressions support flexibility and joint range. The class can also complement physio, strength training, Reformer, or sport by giving you a dedicated recovery-focused block.

Movements can be modified. Tell your instructor if something feels sharp, unsafe, or beyond your comfort so the session can be adjusted.

    Who this class is for

Stretch & Reset in Maple Ridge suits desk workers who feel tight through the neck, shoulders, hips, or low back, and active adults who want a dedicated recovery and mobility session. It also fits people dealing with general stiffness or sore muscles after busy weeks, anyone under stress who benefits from slower restorative movement, clients already in physiotherapy or kinesiology who want extra mobility support, and adults returning to activity who need gentle flexibility work before harder training.

If you have a recent injury, post-surgical restrictions, or significant pain, ask us first. Private kinesiology, assisted stretching, fascial stretch therapy, or physiotherapy may be a better starting point.
